So pintrest...
For someone who enjoys crafts, pintrest is like a gold mine. I have found several ideas for things that I want to make and a few that I have done already. Tonight I began working on one that is very close to my heart.
My dad died when I was 5 years old. I only have a few memories of him and one of the things that is hard now is the fact my daughter will never be able to meet him. I have several things of his given to my by my Granny. Out of that, she gave me 5-6 of his old shirts. I have kept them for several years thinking one day I would make a quilt or something out of them to hand down to my kids. Today I got my inspiration.
A very popular pintrest DIY is the pillowcase dress or skirt. So I am modifying it to fit a 6 month old baby. I am super excited as one of the shirts is a plaid with pink, purple, and blue in it. I have started cutting it out and finished a headband already to match. The headband made me even more excited about the idea.
When it is finish I will get some professional photos done with her in it to send to my uncle (who has been an amazing father to me) and my Granny and Grandad. What an awesome heirloom this will be for Jayna to pass down to her daughter someday. I can't wait to see the end result and I will be sure to share it here to.

Step By Step: a new experience.
Hi,
I am new at this and just wanted to introduce myself and why I am beginning a blog to begin with. I have always enjoyed writing and use it to process my thoughts. I want to become more open and willing to let others see that I am not perfect and daily have to remind myself that only through God can I get through the difficult times.

Through this blog I hope to share my desire to draw closer to Him in every aspect of my life. Also I want to inspire others to learn that following in His steps may be difficult at times but He will bless and encourage you along the way in ways you can't imagine.
